My friends and I used to frequent Veanos on the heights all the time in high school, some time ago. Looks like not much has changed! Portions were huge, pasta was fresh. sauce was yummy. Eggplant parm and chicken parm perfection. Staff was friendly! Salad was old, oh well. Reliable, belly filling Italian.

From the folks who operated the former Veano's Italian Kitchen 2 on Manchester Street, and opened Veano's 2 Go in the former Yellow Submarine shack on North State Street. Veano's 2 Go offers a streamlined menu of Veano's Italian Kitchen 2's popular items including some of their pasta dinners, sandwiches, pizzas, salads, seafood, kabobs, appetizers, wings, and bottled Coke products. The place is takeout only with only a very small standing area between the door and counter. For a full service dining experience, they also operate Beanie's Bar & Grill in Loudon with a similar food menu plus other frosty beverages. I stopped by Veano's 2 Go for dinner takeout and ordered the Chicken Parmesan Dinner ($17 plus tax) which includes baked buttered garlic bread. At the old Veano's 2, a side salad was also included. My food was ready to go in about 15 minutes after placing my order. The chicken parmesan entree was served in a very hot aluminum container with thick slices of baked buttered garlic on the side. The entree was comprised of 5 thick homemade breaded chicken fingers topped with a thick homemade tomato sauce (could've used a bit more) & melted mozzarella cheese over soft cooked thin spaghetti. The entree was pretty good and filling to eat.
